Samskritha Prashikshanam (Ten great days)

The accommodation was kind of ok. Food was normal. The water was bad (Note that I come from the land of Siruvani- The second sweetest water on earth) and the climate was unbearably hot (again note I come from Kovaipudur-The Mini Ooty). Yet when I came out of Sri Akilandeswari Vidhyalaya, Trichy on the dusk of 20th of May after ten days of stay I was thrilled and my heart was filled with Joy and satisfaction. I was excited and there was tremendous energy flowing in me.
The Ten days residential teachers training camp conducted by samskritha bharathi to train Samskrit speaking students into teachers was Mind boggling just because of the fact that there was sacrifice and Seva all through in the air. Whenever there is samskritham you tend to forget all grief and became happy. It is such a scientific language that you can experience a vibration when you learn and speak the beautiful language.
24*7 for ten days we were to converse only in samskritham and it was such a experience. To wake up as early as 5 in the morning and uttering the Pratha smaranam shloka (The sloka that makes us remember all the people who sacrificed their life or did Seva for the benefit of our mother land) followed by Yogasanas.
There was then the regular samkskrit classes along with your team Vargas which provided such team spirit and add to that were the Nataka Spradha(Samskrit play competitions), Geetha Spradha (Samskrit songs singing competitions) etc to add enthusiasm to the participants.
Then there was the Games in samskritham with the evening bhajans and Prerana Bhashans(Inspirational speeches) given by various persons in samskritham(A couple of persons in Tamil because the speaker dint know how to SPEAK samskritham).
These speeches were so brilliant and fantastic that it really inspired me a lot. Came to know much Stuff about our country Bharatham that I will try to write a separate blog about those speeches. Some moments were really touching and some were really heart breaking. Overall the speeches did inspire the whole lot of people gathered there.
Then there was the Mouna Viratham(Silence fast) on the 9th day evening and MATHRU VANTHANAM( Thanks giving to Our Mother Land) in the night. The next day early morning was BHARATHI POOJA. I will not go into detail describing the MATHRU VANTHANAM and THE BHARATHI POOJA because I know mere english words here will not do justice for the above two as they were truly beyond words and one has to experience it to know the greatness.
In all it was no mere camp but was the get together of the Samskritha family for ten days. It was not a camp where I merely learnt samskritham but learnt the culture and tradition of our mother land. These ten days gave me real reason to feel proud of the fact that I belong to the greatest nation on earth. I hope Samskritha Bharathi’s work of Reviving a language, Rebuilding a nation and rejuvenating a culture will attain greater heights in the future.
P.S: No words can describe the service of SAMSKRITHA BHARATHI and its volunteers. I am happy to be a part of it. If you are interested in speaking samskritham in just ten days, if you could just give two hours of your time a day without spending a single penny then Samskritha bharathi gives you the opportunity. To understand the real essence of Our Dharma you need to know samskritham. There is no other go.
